1. Begin in an unpublished theme

When you receive a preview theme package, add it to your Shopify theme library and customise the unpublished copy first. Keep your current live theme in place until your checks are complete. Preview access is arranged directly with the studio.

2. Set the visual foundation

Choose your logo, colours and typography in Theme settings. Add your photography, then compose the homepage with stories, product collections and editorial sections. Check both desktop and mobile crops; a beautiful desktop crop may hide a product on a phone.

3. Configure personalisation carefully

Assign the appropriate product template. Configure the name, text or other customisation fields your production process supports. Test required fields, character limits and spelling confirmation. The theme records these details; it does not produce or fulfil the item.

4. Add gift extras as real products

Create packaging or cards as actual Shopify products with real prices and inventory. Select them in the relevant gift-extra settings. Check whether an extra is one per selection or one for each item, then confirm quantities and prices in the cart.

5. Help customers choose

Build collections, menus and gift guides around your actual catalogue. Use recipient, occasion or budget filters where helpful. Keep product comparisons factual and replace all demo descriptions, images and policies.

6. Test the entire shopping journey

Check navigation, search, product variants, personalisation, cart editing and checkout. Confirm the order contains the correct details in a test order appropriate for your store. Verify languages, accessibility and app embeds before publishing the theme.
